Today is GivingTuesday, a global effort to inspire generosity as part of everyday life. This year we’re super excited to partner with Tech Forward, a nonprofit company that provides marginalized communities access to the Salesforce ecosystem. GivingTuesday is one of the most important days of the year for giving. Putting the spotlight on Tech Forward means a lot to us because CRM Science is passionate about working and partnering with nonprofits. On this GivingTuesday, we’re supporting Tech Forward so that they can continue to provide education and outreach to bring more talent into the ecosystem. A couple of our employees have been cohorts in their classes, and we’re happy to work with Tech Forward to help drive their mission.
Tech Forward, formerly known as HBCUforce, is an organization that strives to introduce the Salesforce ecosystem to disadvantaged groups and individuals. Originally focused on working with students, they now have expanded to those who already have careers in the tech space. They offer an experience that exposes, explores, empowers, and provides people with knowledge in the Salesforce ecosystem. Both students and career transitioners can benefit from working with Tech Forward either to learn entirely new software as a service (SaaS) or to build their skills in tech. Participants are paired with a mentor who works in the ecosystem to guide them through their journey within the program.
Led by their Founder, Tiffany Spencer, and Assistant Director, Brian Owens (Golden Hoodie recipients), Tech Forward has been successful in helping over 300 students break into Salesforce and supplying the knowledge needed to earn over 5,000+ Salesforce badges. In addition, they’ve had over 200 career transitioners participate in their Admin Certification Boot Camp. They’ve successfully aided individuals entering the ecosystem with the programs geared towards Salesforce: HBCU Forward, Community Forward, and Forward Into Tech. Each of these programs has its own focuses; however, each one aids in providing their cohorts accessibility to Salesforce. It’s incredible to see how many people have benefited from their programs!
We’re so happy that we’re able to partner with Tech Forward this GivingTuesday! We’re hoping you’re interested in supporting Tech Forward’s mission! Our goal is to give back and help support this amazing non-profit! So please donate to Tech Forward on this GivingTuesday to help support their mission.
