User Experience Developer

Summary

The User Experience Developer collaborates with the leadership and technical teams to create web and mobile user interfaces that are visually appealing, intuitive, and emotionally inviting.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Demonstrate a superior understanding of web and mobile design as well as user experience principles and trends.

  2. Develop company standards and processes regarding best practice

  3. Collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver successful solutions.

  4. Translate client business requirements, user needs, and technical requirements into effective, useful and practical user interfaces.

  5. Communicate conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale visually and verbally.

  6. Create web graphics, UI elements, functional mockups, and wireframes.

  7. Design user interfaces motion graphics and animation.

  8. Maintain currency with Salesforce UI technologies, development best practices, new features, and functionality.

  9. Use Lighting Design System product design guidelines, design patterns, and component blueprints to provide a consistent UI.

  10. Design of marketing assets (one-pagers, white papers, etc.).

  11. Advise and execute on company website design.

  12. Design of trade show materials, e.g. booth, banners, etc. 

  13. Design Powerpoint presentations, particularly new slides or concepts we want to convey.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. 2+ years of experience with UX/UI development

  2. Current portfolio

  3. Experience building websites and web apps using HTML and CSS.

  4. Extensive knowledge of user experience theory, current practices and front-end development methodologies such as block element modifier and box model.

  5. Proficiency in Javascript. 

  6. Interest in expanding front-end web development knowledge.

  7. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator and/or Sketch.

  8. Knowledge of Salesforce Lightning and web components a plus.

  9. Simple and crisp design preferences similar to websites like google.com, quip.com, fluxx.io, zendesk.com, etc.

  10. Great organization and documentation skills.

  11. Capable of performing independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced, agile environment.

  12. Strong attention to detail, process, and prioritization.

  13. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  14. Creative, resourceful, and able to think outside of the box.
