CRM Science Top Five Dreamforce 2019 Moments

In a lightning flash, Dreamforce 2019 is over. Before our lab coats had time to wrinkle en route to Philadelphia, the Dreamforest was gone and the streets of San Francisco returned to business as usual.

We’re all wondering how long it will take for the Einstein A.I. Voice Assistant that’s shaped like Einstein Trailhead character to be available commercially (even though the one at DF19 was for demo purposes only). We felt inspired to continue working toward a better future through responsible use of technology after President Barack Obama’s chat with Salesforce Co-CEO Marc Benioff. And, we were absolutely thrilled to download the new Trailhead GO app to our iOS devices so we can skill-up anywhere.

The CRM Science team enjoyed conceptual immersion at Dreamforce while marveling at tech innovations. Most importantly, we connected with the Salesforce ecosystem while sharing ideas and deep-belly laughs.

Scenes from Dreamforce 2019

Here are our top five favorite moments from Dreamforce 2019:

5. Awarding prizes to the five winners of our Solve the Dreamfest Band Puzzle Contest

We had some great guesses, but few people predicted Fleetwood Mac and Beck to rock our socks off at Dreamfest. Our grand prize winner, Eric D., correctly guessed Fleetwood Mac, and he is the proud owner of a shiny new tablet.

Contest Winners

Top guesses for the contest were:

  1. Lizzo

  2. Rolling Stones

  3. Taylor Swift

  4. Lady Gaga

  5. Madonna

  6. Drake

  7. Imagine Dragons

  8. Beyonce

  9. Weezer

  10. Foo Fighters

Congratulations to our winners, and thank you to everyone who entered the contest.

4. Accepting our fourth(!) consecutive Salesforce Partner Innovation Award

2019 Salesforce Partner Innovation Awards

The creative minds at CRM Science were awarded a 2019 Salesforce Partner Innovation Award for Community Cloud at Dreamforce 2019. Few Salesforce consulting partners of a similar size have achieved four consecutive wins, so we’re giving ourselves extra pats on the back for this one.

The award was given to CRM Science after transforming Acts Retirement-Life Communities (Acts) organization by enabling a digital overhaul through a wide range of Salesforce products, including Community Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud.

3. Hosting the #DF19 CRM Science Giant Puzzle Party

Thanks to Bartlett Hall for providing the perfect venue, tasty food, and drinks that made us feel a little fancier. We pinballed the night away while chatting about Salesforce with admins, developers, customers, and everyone in between. And, we were thrilled to see several attendees solve our giant cubes!

2. Sharing knowledge at Dreamforce by presenting two sessions

The #Cubeforce team presented two sessions to packed crowds, and we love sharing tidbits to make life in the Salesforce ecosystem better for all.

Here are the lab coat sessions that were presented at Dreamforce:

Dreamforce Session

An Admin's API Integration: External Services and Flows - Presented by Ami Assayag and Kirk Steffke

There's been no shortage of options to build data integrations between external systems and Salesforce orgs, but only until recently has there been an "Admin-Friendly" path to "build" with APIs. This session provided Admins with a basic scenario to introduce and demystify things like Named Credentials, API inputs and outputs, External Services, and pull them all together with a Flow.

Often in meetings about software and systems, the conversation can get so complex or technical that it's hard to follow what's being said. Without clarity, people miss key information, refrain from sharing their ideas, and don't ask relevant questions.

In this session, attendees discovered how and what to observe during a group meeting, learned to recognize common group communication patterns, and took home key phrases and tips to boost meeting clarity.

1. Making children smile by donating our Puzzle Party games

Children in San Francisco

After having fun with giant puzzles and games at the #DF19 CRM Science Giant Puzzle Party, we wanted to see our newly purchased games go to a good home. So, we donated the games to Tenderloin Recreation Center in San Francisco. We were delighted to see the joy of new toys when the children opened the boxes.

The children and rec center employees were overjoyed with the donation, and we’re sure these future tech innovators will expand their minds learning about algorithms and ‘thinking outside the box” with our cubes and brain teasers.
